Registration Process of Türkiye Scholarship Grantees

Students who have been placed in our university through Türkiye scholarships for the 2023- 2024 academic year must submit the following documents to the Student Affairs Office in person for registration.

Documents required for registration:

  1. Copy of passport
  2. 2 biometric photographs
  3. Certificate of Equivalence*
  4. Original copy (hardcopy) of the diploma
  5. In case the diploma is not issued in English or Turkish, certified Turkish translation of the diploma
  6. Turkish proficiency certificate (if any)
  7. English proficiency certificate (if any)
  8. Residence permit card (if any)

Students placed at our university through Türkiye scholarships must attend a one-year Turkish preparatory class. Thus, those who seek to be exempted from this class must either submit an acceptable score from an exam recognized by the Turkish and Foreign Language Teaching, Practice and Research Center (TÖMER), or sit for the Turkish language proficiency exam held by TÖMER. Otherwise, students are required to attend a one-year of Turkish preparatory class.

For non-holders of Turkish and/or foreign language proficiency certificate, the schedule of exemption exams to be held by the HU School of Foreign Languages and TÖMER will be announced on the web page of these departments. Therefore, it is essential for Türkiye scholarship holders to keep a close eye on the following web pages and the 2023-2024 academic calendar and course exemption calendar to ensure they do not miss any crucial dates pertaining to their studies.

Those who plan to begin their studies during the Fall Semester of 2023-2024, should register before the Add-Drop week begins on October 9th, 2023.

*The equivalency certificate must be submitted before the start of the next academic year. Failure to do so will result in dismissal from the university.
