Candidates who have finished a secondary education institution equal to Turkish high schools are entitled to apply for associate and undergraduate degree programs of Hacettepe University, as long as they meet the eligibility criteria.

Important Notes

1) Hacettepe University has full authority on evaluation of applications and admission of the applicants. It is at discretion of Hacettepe University to fill the quota. Meeting the application requirements does not guarantee admission to Hacettepe University.

2) Test Scores or certificates of secondary education, except those identified hereby, will not be taken into consideration.

3) Applicants are not charged any application fees.

4) Applications will be conducted online and all the documents will be submitted on the application system. Applications sent via mail/postal system or e-mail will not be taken into consideration.

5) During registration; applicants admitted to a program will be asked to prove his/her application information they provide online. Those who fail to do so will be considered to have forfeited their rights to register.

6) The email address and the telephone number written in the application form must be used by the applicant actively. For any update regarding their application status, the applicant will be reached through phone and/or e-mail.

7) Applications will be evaluated by a commission assigned by the Rector of Hacettepe University. Eligible applicants will be invited for an interview; and then they will be admitted to the programs accordingly. Interviews will be conducted online.

8) Board of Hacettepe University reserves the authority to carry out an additional placement, following the admission process. A potential additional placement will be conducted among those who have attended the interview. Applicants who have been invited for interview and not attended will be considered to have waived their right to be admitted.

9) Admissions to Associate Degree programs will be conducted based on the submitted score, and the applicants will not be invited for interview.

10) Applicants applying from Germany must note that those who submit Fachabitur certificate, which is equivalent to vocational/technical high schools in Turkey, will not be taken into consideration.

11) It is of great importance for the applicants to check the department they are applying; whether it is an Associate Degree program (offering a two-year education) or an Undergraduate Degree Program (offering a four-year education), as well as the special conditions provided. Durations of the programs are provided in the quotas list.

12) Applicants admitted to a program will be sent an acceptance letter by Hacettepe University, upon request.

Eligibility

1) Foreign nationals,

2) Those who are Turkish citizens by birth and hold a document from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkey regarding the renouncement of Turkish citizenship, and their underage children who are registered on these people’s renouncement document and provide evidence of ownership of the document issued in accordance with the Turkish Citizenship Law on the Exercise of The Legal Rights (According to Turkish Citizenship Law, those who were born in Turkey or abroad from Turkish national mother and father within a conjugal union are Turkish citizens by birth. Therefore, Turkish nationals who are going to apply from abroad are recommended to read the aforementioned law);

3) Those who are foreign nationals by birth but became Turkish citizens later and therefore hold dual citizenship;

4) a) Turkish citizen students, who started secondary education abroad before 01/02/2013, must certify that they have studied the final three year of secondary education at a school in a foreign country other than Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, including Turkish schools abroad affiliated to Ministry of Education;

b) Turkish citizen students, who started their secondary education abroad after 01/02/2013, must certify that they have studied the whole secondary education at a school in a foreign country other than Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, including Turkish schools abroad affiliated to Ministry of Education;

5) Citizens of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), who reside in TRNC and have fulfilled secondary education in TRNC and hold GCE A Level scores; and those who were enrolled in foreign high schools abroad between 2005-2010 and have or will have the GCE A Level scores may apply Hacettepe University as an international student.

Ineligibility

1) Turkish citizens who have fulfilled secondary education completely in Turkey or Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus;

2) Turkish Republic of North Cyprus citizens (except applicants who have fulfilled secondary education in Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and have GCE A Level scores and those who were enrolled in foreign high schools abroad between 2005-2010 and have or will have GCE A Level scores);

3) Dual citizens who are Turkish citizens by birth as identified in Article 2 of the Eligibility criteria (except for those who fulfill the conditions of Article 4);

4) Holders of dual citizenship one of which is Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (except for those who have fulfilled secondary education in Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and have their GCE A Level scores and those who were enrolled in foreign high schools abroad between 2005-2010 and have or will have GCE A Level scores),

5) Turkish citizens who have fulfilled secondary education in schools affiliated to the Embassies located in Turkey and in foreign high school; or holders of dual citizenship, one of which is Turkish by birth as identified in Article 2 of the Eligibility criteria are not entitled to apply Hacettepe University as an international student.

Required Documents:

1) Secondary Education Certificate/High School Diploma and its translation by a sworn translator in case it is in a language other than English or Turkish. The school awarding the certificate, embassies, consulates or notaries are regarded as certifying authorities. Uncertified diplomas will not be taken into consideration.

2) Exam Scores: Validity periods of SAT, ACT and TQDK are two years from the date of the exam. Applicants who apply with SAT scores must make sure that their official score report is sent to Hacettepe University by ETS until the date of registration (Hacettepe University SAT Code: 7661)

3) Application Form: The form will be available on our web page from May 31, 2021

4) Photograph of the page of the passport containing the applicant's photo,

5) A passport-sized photo (biometric) will be uploaded.

6) Applicants who hold dual citizenship (one of which is Turkey Republic), must submit a certificate of identity register,

7) Applicants who apply pursuant to the Article 4 of the eligibility criteria must submit a certified document which states the complete fulfillment of secondary education abroad (A certified document from the school graduated or a transcript covering all years must be obtained).

8) Applicants who hold Blue Card (the card given to those who renounce their Turkish citizenship) must attach a copy to their application.

Documents identified hereinabove must be sent online. They must be in .pdf or .jpg format.
